Amari Cooper has really been hitting his stride at Oakland Raiders training camp and that’s has helped Cooper earn the respect of his teammates. Quarterback David Carr had this to say about Cooper’s playmaking abilities “The guy has been going off all camp, all offseason. We were kind of just laughing at how impressed we were.” Clearly Carr has all the confidence in the world in Amari Cooper and expect that to pay dividends when it comes to the former Alabama receiver’s stat total. Cooper has already put together back to back 1,000 yard seasons in his first two years as a pro and it’s scary to think that Carr has seen this much progress in Amari Cooper’s game. Cooper actually put up better stats at Alabama than Julio Jones did and now it looks like the raiders receiver could push Jones at the pro level as well. The Raiders have to be very pleased with that and if you need a wide receiver for your fantasy football team don’t forget about Cooper. As long as Derek Carr stays healthy Amari Cooper could be on the path to 1,500 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. That’s going to help the Raiders organization win a lot of games and NFL defensive coordinators are going to have their hands pull when they play Oakland. The silver and black have weapons all over their offense and Marshawn Lynch should help this unit be more dynamic as well. Now those defenders have to worry about Beast Mode carving them up on the ground and that will make those linebackers creep up a bit. As soon as that happens Amari Cooper can beat the defense over top and we all know Derek Carr is going to deliver the ball with accuracy. Between Carr’s quick recovery, the addition of Marshawn Lynch, and Amari Cooper’s progression the Raiders look like a favorite in the AFC. This team should be able to easily make their second consecutive postseason appearance at the end of the year.
