The Baltimore Ravens know they have to stay aggressive. Lamar Jackson makes them a Super Bowl contender and they’re trying to capitalize on his potential. That’s why Baltimore traded for Yannick Ngakoue today. It’s a move that’s about keeping points off the scoreboard. Ngakoue should help the Ravens on third down because he’s known for generating a pass rush. Ngakoue will also reunite with Calais Campbell who was his former teammate with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Those two were the heart and soul of a tough Jaguars defense for a number of years. The Ravens have to feel pretty good about pairing them up. But Baltimore didn’t stop there. They also plan on signing Dez Bryant to their practice squad. Eventually the plan is to call Bryant up and give Jackson another weapon in the passing game. For the time being Bryant will have to get back up to speed by getting reps in practice. Realistically it’ll be a short time before Bryant is back on the field. The Ravens know Bryant can help them and they’re going after him to create a few more touchdowns. So they’ll want him to be involved sooner-rather-than later. And Bryant has the potential to be another big pickup.
