There’s a lot of rumors right now about the secret AFC team that offered the Eagles a second round pick for Nick Foles. While everyone is being quiet about which team made that offer it appears that the signs are pointing to the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo went to the playoffs last year for their first time in 17 years. They did that while shuffling between Tyrod Taylor / Nathan Peterman at QB and now it appears Sean McDermott is committed to finding the right player under center. Buffalo has an extra second round pick in the upcoming draft so shipping out that pick for Foles would still be a good move. Especially since Foles is coming off a Super Bowl run and has a ton of confidence at the moment. It feels like the Bills will have to sweeten that deal a little bit to really make this exchange materialize. That means another late round pick or a mid-caliber player will likely be added in with that 2nd round pick. One thing is for certain the Bills haven’t been shy about taking risks since McDermott has arrived. They shipped out Sammy Watkins, Ronald Darby, and Marcell Dareus since their new head coach has taken over the reins. Those moves have actually helped this team stock pile some picks but after scoring only 3 points against the Jaguars in the playoffs. It’s obvious that the offense needs to be completely overhauled if they want a chance to succeed next time around. Foles will definitely help the Bills score more than 3 points so that would be a step in the right direction. It’s going to take more weapons on that side of the ball than just Foles to be a true threat though. Expect Buffalo to add another receiver to their group to help the scoring output regardless if this organization lands Foles or not.
