The Nick Foles era is going down in flames. Chicago squandered their winning record by turning to Foles. And with Foles getting hurt in the final minutes against the Vikings. That opens the door for Mitchell Trubisky to be this team’s starter again. The only problem with that is Trubisky is also injured. He’s been out of action for the past two weeks with a banged up shoulder. But there’s no denying when Trubisky returns this is his team. Trubisky can roll out and throw on the run. Which allows the Bears offense to attack from different areas of the field. He’s also good at escaping the pressure when his pass protection breaks down. Those are things that Foles was horrible at. And clearly Chicago was in much better shape when Trubisky was in charge. So you can begin to see that we overlooked his value. That offense was absolutely dreadful without Mitchell Trubisky’s athleticism. But if he can come back and turn things around. That will salvage Trubisky’s reputation and show Matt Nagy that he got it wrong by going with Foles.
