NFL players wear shoulder pads but they weren’t enough to protect Courtland Sutton. The Denver Broncos wide receiver injured his A.C joint in practice. It’s a setback that will probably keep him out of the Broncos regular season opener against the Tennessee Titans. But if there’s any good news. It doesn’t sound like Sutton will miss too much time. Two or three games seems like the maximum amount of time he’ll be out. Therefore Denver will have to find a way to hold it together while Sutton is sidelined. Expect Drew Lock to target Jerry Jeudy and Noah Fant more often to pick up the slack. And this is how we’ll find out if this team is for real or not? Can they look in the face of adversity and still find a way to win? It won’t be easy to do without Sutton. But Denver has to keep pushing forward.
