The Dallas Cowboys couldn’t afford to have a letdown against the New York Giants in their Monday Night Football match-up. The Philadelphia Eagles just got their 5th win over the Chicago Bears and that made the NFC East a very tight race. But luckily the Cowboys got a big game from Dak Prescott and that made life so much easier for Jerry Jones’ team. Before the final whistle blew Prescott had racked up 257 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception.
It was a much better performance than Daniel Jones was able to put together and let’s be honest Dallas can beat some of the top teams in the league when Prescott is dialed in. This is what the Cowboys need from this guy if they return to the playoffs and it also helps when Ezekiel Elliott plays as well is he did in this victory. When those two are on it supercharges this offense and they’re so tough to stop. Elliott had 139 yards against the Giants and that kept so many drives alive. Those two players have been the identity of Dallas for the past four seasons now and it’s up to them to keep their foot on the gas during these last eight games. After winning 37-18 against New York you know their confidence is high. Moving forward they have to improve from a consistency standpoint because we’ve seen the Cowboys struggle against the Jets, Saints, and Packers. However when they play up to their potential for all four quarters they’re one of the better teams in the NFC.
