Everyone is talking about how good Kyler Murray looked in the Cardinals first preseason game but most of his passes were short completions. To be perfectly honest Brett Hundley threw the ball just as well as Murray and then there was Dwayne Haskins.

The Redskins’ rookie struggled throwing 2 interceptions and had the worst night out of the three first round quarterbacks. Which leaves the best performer for last and that was New Yorkā€™s Daniel Jones. Remember Jones has been under a ton of scrutiny ever since the Giants drafted him above Haskins and he was even booed at a Yankees game. Despite that Jones looked sharp against the Jets in his first pro match-up and this is where he can start to win some of the fans back. Eventually people will start to respect Daniel Jones if he continues to be resilient. He took the first step by showing up Murray and Haskins. The question is whether or not Jones can maintain this high level of output? Consistency is what will define his career but itā€™s been a good start so far. Eli Manning will become nervous with every strong performance Jones turns in because that means the Giants can turn the page on him sooner rather than later.

Daniel Jones’ opening night went very well for the Giants rookie.
