Did the Texans make the right choice by going with Tyrod Taylor?

Author: Jon Kuzma

The Texans are fooling themselves. They’re fooling themselves by believing Tyrod Taylor can be their starting QB. Taylor struck out with the Bills, Browns, and Chargers. So it’s unlikely that things change with the Texans. And this almost feels like hubris from GM Nick Caserio. We’ve seen coaches and GMs that have come from the Patriots. And acted like they had all of the answers. Texans fans don’t have to look too far to find an example of that. Bill O’Brien ruined this team when he was running the show. Now Taylor will fail to get it done for the Texans. And Caserio should be on the phone with the Eagles. Doing everything he can to trade a fourth round pick for Gardner Minshew. A fourth round pick is a steal for a starting QB. He’s younger than Taylor and has far more upside. Jimmy Garoppolo could be another option for this team. But the Texans have to go get somebody. Thinking they can settle for what they have is a bold choice. One that won’t end well for the Texans.
