Author: Jon Kuzma

The Vikings hired Mike Zimmer back in 2014. And ever since he took over this team. The focus has been on fixing the secondary. Just take a look at their draft picks. Trae Waynes, Mackenzie Alexander, and Mike Hughes are some of the high picks. Who have come and gone. But Zimmer thinks he got it right over the past two years. It started with the Jeff Gladney and Cameron Dantzler triumphs. Which put the Vikings in a better place. Than they’ve been in awhile. But they took it a step further. By also hitting it big on Patrick Peterson in free agency. For those who are wondering what that means? To sum it up. This team won’t have any problems in coverage anymore. Zimmer can call any blitz he wants. From any direction on the field. And it doesn’t matter. Because Peterson and those other guys can win in man-to-man coverage. Peterson frees this group up. To do so many new things. Get the SKOL chant and the horn ready. Zimmer will be trigger happy this season. He’s ready to flex his muscles with Peterson.
