If you watched last night’s Sunday Night Football game between the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings. Then you saw game that came down to the wire. The Vikings were leading 26-21 with time winding down in the fourth quarter. But that’s when we got to witness the greatness of D.K Metcalf. It’s amazing how many times Russell Wilson looked Metcalf’s way on that game-winning drive. Everyone in the stadium knew where the ball was going. And Minnesota still didn’t have an answer for Metcalf. Let’s not forget that Mike Zimmer and the Vikings are known for their defense too. However no other receiver in the NFL is able impose their will on the game like Metcalf can. Odell Beckham Jr. is a great player but he doesn’t have the size and strength to overwhelm you like Metcalf does. To be fair not many other receivers do either. And when it was fourth down and it was do-or-die for Seattle. Metcalf showed he has the clutch gene too by coming through during crunch time. It’s just so tough to cover this guy because it’s almost like going against a tight end. It takes longer for defensive backs to get around Metcalf to break up the pass, like it does with Travis Kelce or George Kittle. That creates matchups problems for the Seahawks’ opponents. That’s why we’re seeing Metcalf ascend so fast.
