Coming into Thursday Night Football all of the talk was about Ryan Fitzpatrick and Gardner Minshew. But on this night it was the veteran Fitzpatrick who stole the show. Miami jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead because Fitzpatrick came to play. He seemed to be in sync with his receivers and getting ahead early is so crucial in these games. The Dolphins had their foot on the gas because Fitzpatrick was locked in. Part of the reason he was so poised is because Miami’s offensive line seems to be improving. They only gave up one sack in this matchup. Fitzpatrick also got some help from the guys who were catching his passes. Preston Williams and Mike Gesicki both were able to haul in touchdowns. And this is a start for this team. Yeah they went on to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-13. But if they really want to dig themselves out of this hole. They can’t be satisfied with just beating the Jags. Fitzpatrick has to keep this good momentum going into next week against the Seattle Seahawks. Who we all know will be a much tougher opponent.
