When the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles met up for this week’s Sunday Night Football matchup there was a lot riding on the line. Both teams are battling for NFC East supremacy but ultimately the Cowboys athletes were better. Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper were exceptional in this game and it’s hard to beat Dallas when those two guys are on. Elliott got the night started by trucking an Eagles defender and getting down to the goal line.
Eventually Elliott would get in and it was off to the races for the two-time rushing champion. Once the night was over Elliott had racked up 111 rushing yards and 1 touchdown. And he’s certainly the catalyst for this offense if Zeke is playing well then Dallas can score 30 points per game. The other top performer was Amari Cooper who was much better than the Eagles secondary. When we talk about some of the best vertical threats in the league. Cooper has to be in the conversation because he has a knack for taking the top off the defense. While Carson Wentz and Philadelphia struggled to create plays down the field. Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper drove their team to victory and that was the story line that stood out the most in this win. Maybe more importantly the Cowboys stopped their three game losing streak and now they‘re still the team to beat in this division.
