The Atlanta Falcons playoffs dreams seem to becoming true after the Dirty Birds beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-21. Matt Ryan was outplayed by Jameis Winston in this match but somehow the Falcons were still able to win the game. Ryan threw for 212 yards, 1 touchdown, and no interceptions in what would go on to be a good night for Atlanta. Devonta Freeman was sensational in this contest as well the Falcons running back rushed for 126 yards and 1 touchdown. Freeman also led Dan Quinn’s team with 68 receiving yards so it was a big night all around for the twenty five year old out of Florida State. Jameis Winston put up 299 passing yards, 3 touchdowns, and no interceptions playing a much better game than he did a week ago against Detroit. Unfortunately the Buccaneers came up short but if Winston can keep playing like this their luck will turn around sooner or later. Mike Evans hauled in 79 yards and 1 touchdown in Tampa Bay’s aerial attack. Adam Humphries and O.J Howard both caught touchdowns too so it was definitely a good night for this team’s passing game. Deion Jones was Atlanta’s top defender he contributed 9 stops for the night. Takk Mckinley chipped in 1 tackle, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble as well. Kwon Alexander was everywhere for the Bucs defensive unit. Alexander finished the game with 13 tackles which led Tampa Bay. Chris Conte had a solid performance also he chalked up 6 tackles and 1 forced fumble. It appears the Falcons are going back to the postseason which is big news considering this team was 3-3 at the end off week 7. Since then though the defense has tightened up and the offense has slowly improved. The combination of those two things are inching this team towards the playoffs and the Falcons will finish off their season against the Saints / Panthers in their final two games.
