Was the Steelers win over the Browns a fitting end for Ben Roethlisberger?

Author: Jon Kuzma

Najee Harris had a huge night for the Steelers. He’s clearly the future of this team. But the real storyline here is Ben Roethlisberger won his final home game with the Steelers. It wasn’t an outpouring of offense by any means. But Roethlisberger is still a better QB than Baker Mayfield. Because Mayfield turns the ball over too much. And it makes you wonder if Roethlisberger would be retiring If he was the Browns QB? The Steelers are just ready to move on at quarterback. Whereas the Browns are desperate to have someone at that position. And the other thing about the Steelers situation. Is too much of the blame has been put on Roethlisberger. And not enough blame has been put on their receivers. There’s some talent there in Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool. But those guys are inconsistent. Roethlisberger is the guy who is taking the fall for it. Because the front office is ready to go in a different direction. But if Roethlisberger had Jarvis Landry, Austin Hooper, and David Njoku. There’s a good chance he wouldn’t be retiring.
