The Jacksonville Jaguars had to sit through a long stretch of inconsistent quarterback play with Blake Bortles. So when this team found a diamond in the rough with Gardner Minshew it gave them a ton of optimism. By trading away Nick Foles Jacksonville committed to Minshew as their franchise quarterback. And the best teams build around their QB and surround them with talent. For example Arizona just traded for DeAndre Hopkins to get another weapon for Kyler Murray. And the Buffalo Bills pulled the trigger on a deal for Stefon Diggs to make Josh Allen’s life easier. So since the Jaguars have one of the most important pieces of their puzzle figured out. They have to do everything they can to help Minshew succeed.
The right move would be drafting Justin Jefferson out of LSU. He absolutely dominated college football in 2019 with over 1,500 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns. Not to mention Leonard Fournette and D.J Chark are also former Tigers. Therefore Jefferson could have some support there considering a lot of those guys went to the same college. Jefferson also lit up the NFL Combine so you know he’s taking the pre-draft process seriously. Just think about the magic this offense would create with another elite playmaker on the field. Chark went for over 1,000 yards this past season and his progress has been huge for this team. If you get Jefferson on the other side then we’ll really get to see what Minshew can do. Everything should take care of itself from there.
