Daniel Jones is no stranger to criticism. He’s been ripped apart by the media because of his lack of offensive production. The Giants aren’t throwing enough touchdown passes. But what if Daniel Jones redeemed himself during the final stretch of the regular season? That’s what appears to be happening after New York won their second game in a row. The funny thing is Jones is getting the job done in unconventional ways. Against the Eagles he pulled a zone read and went 34 yards for a touchdown. And this is becoming a reoccurring theme with Jones. He’s good enough to beat defenses with his legs. Jones’ opponents are often surprised by his speed when they get on the field with him. And Joe Judge is recognizing what he has and leaning into it. The more Jones runs the better it is for the Giants. That’s why Judge made Jones carry the ball nine times against Philadelphia. Suddenly this team is only one game back in the NFC East. And they just beat the division leader when they got the best of the Eagles. So the stage has been set for Daniel Jones. There’s no denying he’s had a bad season. But if he can bring the NFC East title back home to New York. Then all of Jones’ troubles will be in the past.
