The Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins squared off in an AFC showdown and Deshaun Watson didnā€™t disappoint. The 2017 first round pick was outstanding throwing for 239 yards, 5 touchdowns, and no interceptions. That was leaps and bounds better than Brock Osweilerā€™s numbers and Miami struggled to keep up. Every time Adam Gase got something going offensively Watson would respond by coming back with a scoring drive of his own. Ultimately that was the story of this game and the Texans are firing on all cylinders at the moment. Lamar Miller also put on a show for H-Townā€™s offense. The former Dolphin (Miller) rushed for 133 yards and 1 touchdown against his old team. Will Fuller was the top receiver for the victors he recorded 124 yards and 1 touchdown. However Fuller would go down with a knee injury and the Texans coaching staff are afraid it might be an ACL tear. So that could wind up being a huge loss for Houston and itā€™s something that may hurt their chances later on. On the visiting side Brock Osweiler finished the night with 241 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Which really hurt Miami because you have to count on your quarterback for at least a couple of TDs. Kenyan Drake did play well though he recorded 58 rushing yards and 1 touchdown. While also hauling in 37 yards and another touchdown through the air. Then of course there was DeVante Parker who was the most impressive Dolphin. Parker wasnā€™t even active last game but he hauled in 134 yards against a tough Texansā€™ defense. Leading us to our next point and thatā€™s how aggressive Houston was. Even though they gave up 23 points that group was very physical and they delivered several big hits on passing plays. Kareem Jackson laid out Mike Gesicki twice and put up 9 tackles plus 1 TFL along the way. Justin Reid had a big night too he was able to chip in 8 tackles and 1 interception. Raekwon McMillion led the way for Miamiā€™s defense he had 9 defensive stops. Kiko Also also had 9 tackles but the Dolphins couldnā€™t slowdown Watson, Hopkins, and Miller. Houston has now won 5 in a row and appear to be heading for the postseason. Nobody wants to play this squad because everything is clicking for them.
