The Philadelphia Eagles won the NFC East last year. But it feels like the Dallas Cowboys have surpassed them. Jerry Jones revamped his team by firing Jason Garrett and bringing in Mike McCarthy. It seems like Garrett was a big weakness for the Cowboys and McCarthy is definitely an upgrade. When you also look at the decisions Dallas has made. It becomes obvious that Jones did his job this off-season. He retained Amari Cooper and franchise tagged Dak Prescott. That kept this team’s core together. Then Jones added to that group by bringing in CeeDee Lamb. Because of those moves Dallas could average 30 points per game this upcoming season. You also have to acknowledge what Jones did with the defense. The Cowboys signed Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe to upgrade their defensive line. Their second round pick Trevon Diggs is also a talented cornerback. So if you factor in all of these things. It becomes apparent they’re in the driver seat in the NFC East. Now they have to avoid having any distractions. That seems to be the one thing that always ends up destroying the Cowboys.
