Last year NFL fans were introduced to Gardner Minshew. The former sixth round pick out of Washington State beat out Nick Foles for the Jacksonville Jaguars starting quarterback job. And apparently Minshew’s magic hasn’t worn off because he just led the Jaguars to a 27-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Minshew threw for 3 touchdowns and rallied Jacksonville to a big win in the second half. He actually had a better day than Philip Rivers did. And most of his best throws came on crossing routes. Each of the touchdowns to Laviska Shenault and Keelan Cole came on those patterns. Those are the plays that tell us what kind of QB Minshew is. He’s going to use his precision and decision making to win games. The feel good story isn’t over yet. Gardner Minshew and the Jacksonville Jaguars are 1-0 this season. And you know they’re riding high after knocking off an AFC South division rival.
