Josh Gordon has only played 6 games for the Patriots but he’s already making a huge impact. The talented pass catcher was the best receiver in the game for either team and all his skills were showcased for the world to see. Gordon hauled in 130 yards and a touchdown proving he can be the top guy in New England’s passing attack. Other than Gordon the Patriots were led by Tom Brady who threw for 294 yards and 1 touchdown. Brady has 1 TD in the last two games so he needs to pick it up a little bit. One guy who did have a big night though was Cordarrelle Patterson. Patterson rushed for 61 yards and 1 touchdown stepping in at the running back position and minimizing the loss of Sony Michel. Then there was James White’s 2 touchdowns and that was enough to give Bill Belichick’s team the advantage. Aaron Rodgers was the top performer for the Packers throwing for 259 yards, 2 touchdowns, and no interceptions. There was times in this game when Rodgers was brilliant and he put more than a handful of passes right on the money. His favorite target of the night was Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Valdes-Scantling hauled in 101 receiving yards and showed some serious hops by high pointing the football on one amazing catch. Jimmy Graham and Davante Adams both caught touchdowns too but give the Patriots a ton of praise for their ability to limit Green Bay’s offense. Trey Flowers and Adrian Clayborn did a great job of getting into the Packers backfield and forced Rodgers to throw the ball quicker than he would’ve liked. Clayborn had 3 tackles, half a sack, and 1 forced fumble. While Flowers tallied up 5 tackles and half a sack himself. Antonio Morrison was petty good in the loss he had 7 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 TFL for the green and yellow team. Mike Daniels put up 2 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 TFL as well but New England made more plays down the stretch and that would be it. Belichick and Brady have won 6 in a row now and seem to be getting their act together at the perfect time. It’s because of players like Josh Gordon and Cordarrelle Patterson who responded to the challenge when their team needed them the most.
