When the Minnesota Vikings traded away Stefon Diggs. It was a big deal because Diggs was Minnesota’s top playmaker. In order to overcome that loss the Vikings drafted Justin Jefferson. And so far that’s been a great selection. This team might be struggling record-wise (1-5). But Jefferson has better stats than Diggs does. It’s because he’s a bigger guy and more physical. That means Jefferson can’t be pushed around by stronger defenders like Diggs can. That’s the difference between having a first round frame or a fifth round body. If you also take into account that Jefferson is outperforming the former Viking (Diggs) as a rookie. That’s really impressive. It shows how much potential Jefferson has. Not to mention he’s cheaper (rookie contract) and a good fit for the locker room. You can’t ask a first year player for much more than that. Minnesota just has to find a way to start winning games again. But it’s obvious Jefferson isn’t the problem.
