Is Kyle Shanahan the obvious choice for Coach of the Year?

Earlier in the year I thought Brian Daboll should be the Coach of the Year. For the great work he’s done with the Giants. But now I think it’s easily Kyle Shanahan. Shanahan lost two quarterbacks. Deebo Samuel is out right now. Yet the 49ers still find a way to win. And each week Shanahan adds a new wrinkle to this offense. Against the Commanders that wrinkle was Ray-Ray McCloud. They used McCloud on a jet sweep that went around the right end for a touchdown. It’s the creativity that Shanahan puts on display each week. That’s what sets him apart from the rest of these coaches. Then how about the work he’s done with George Kittle these past couple of weeks? Kittle went vertical over the top on the Commanders. That play went for a touchdown. He also scored another touchdown. They’ve schemed him up some good plays with Samuel out. All of this goes back to Shanahan.
