Two former Oklahoma State teammates put on a show in the Pittsburgh Steelers week one preseason win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Those players were Mason Rudolph and James Washington who were clearly relying on their past rapport to take over in this football game. While every other QB and receiver have to work hard to hash out the rhythm and timing of each route. Rudolph and Washington looked lightyears ahead of everybody else and that showed on the stat line. Rudolph threw for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns on only 8 passing attempts. Including a perfect back shoulder throw to Washington for the Steelers first touchdown of the night. You know weā€™ve been hearing that Donte Moncrief or Diontae Johnson will be Pittsburghā€™s number two receiver but Washington will close the gap if he keeps playing like this. Now the second year pass catcher has to prove he can do it against the starters in the regular season. For the time being though this is a big win for Washington and itā€™ll help his confidence moving forward. The same goes for Rudolph and he looks like heā€™s capable of taking over after Ben Roethlisberger retires. Which proves just how well run the Steelers are as an organization. They always reload and come back stronger.
