The Detroit Lions got some scary news today when Matthew Stafford was put on the COVID-19 list. What that basically means is Stafford has the virus or he came in contact with someone that has it. And he’s up there with Von Miller and Ezekiel Elliott as one of the better players that got sick. Obviously this is terrible for the Lions because they went 0-8 when Stafford went down with a back injury last year. That proves how valuable Stafford is to Detroit. This team couldn’t win a single game without the former first overall pick. So this is a rough start at the beginning of training camp. Chase Daniel is the backup quarterback. But going with him almost guarantees that the Lions won’t have a winning record. At the moment though we’re just hoping that Matthew Stafford can pull through this and he doesn’t spread the virus to anyone else.
