The Pittsburgh Steelers needed one more piece to the puzzle to complete their defense. So G.M Kevin Colbert traded a first round pick to the Miami Dolphins for safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. Looking back at that trade it was a smart decision for Pittsburgh. Fitzpatrick came to the Steel City and helped them improve in almost every category stats-wise. So when Fitzpatrick was left off CBS’s Top 100 Players list. It was a head scratcher but that’s not something you can dwell on if you’re Fitzpatrick. The only thing that matters is finding a way to win the AFC North, making the playoffs, and competing for a Super Bowl. If Fitzpatrick and the Steelers can take care of those things that are in their control. The rest of the other stuff will take care of itself. Individually Fitzpatrick should also feel pretty good. He’s coming off his best season as a pro. One that helped him become an All-Pro and a Pro Bowler. So at the moment life is good for the former first round pick. The most important thing for him is perfecting his craft and finding a way to get better. Because if the Steelers can get another big year out of their defense. Then they have a chance at doing something special. And in the sport of football team accomplishments are far greater than the Top 100 list.
