If you were looking for a game that had non-stop action. Then the Chiefs and Texans AFC divisional matchup was everything you were hoping for. Houston came out of the gate on fire and was pouring it on Kansas City in the first quarter. The score was actually 21-0 and Arrowhead Stadium was completely quiet. But that’s when Travis Kelce decided to put the team on his back and he willed the Chiefs to victory. Kelce would go on to record 134 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns before the day was over. He was also the spark plug that uplifted this offense when they needed it the most. Once Kelce set the tone then we seen Patrick Mahomes start become more confident as well.
The result was a 51-31 thrashing by the Chiefs and stop and think about that for a second. Houston scored 31 points and still lost this game. That tells you just how dangerous Kansas City is and they’re so entertaining to watch. Not many teams could do what the Chiefs were able to pull off in this win. It will go down as one of the truly special moments in NFL playoff history. And Andy Reid’s ball club with keep pushing forward. They’re starting to look like the Super Bowl favorites.
