The New Orleans Saints made a bold decision when they decided to go with Taysom Hill over Jameis Winston. Sean Payton is taking a big risk by starting Hill. But Payton has been developing Hill for the past four years. Clearly Payton felt more comfortable with Hill because he’s the most familiar with the Saints’ system. And if Hill wants to eventually get a promotion and be a starting quarterback. Then he needs to show us what he’s capable over these next three games? Drew Brees is on injured reserve so the Saints are looking for someone to rally around. And that makes you wonder if Hill will seize the moment? Because if he can then Payton will feel a lot better about making Hill the permanent starter after Brees retires. However if Taysom Hill struggles. He caught a break by being named the starter. But from here on out Hill will have to earn it.
