The New York Jets and Buffalo Bills went head to head in a Thursday Night Football showdown and the Jets emerged victorious when the final whistle blew. New York was pretty impressive defensively recording 7 team sacks and that was enough to keep Buffalo on their heels. Jordan Jenkins was at the forefront of the Jets’ pass rush he compiled 2 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. Demario Davis was also very impressive for the Jets he ended the night with 8 tackles and 1 sack. Offensively Josh McCown played good enough to get the win for New York the QB had 140 yards, 1 passing touchdown, and 0 interceptions. Matt Forte was also in top form too, the veteran running bad had his best game of the year with 77 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. Robbie Anderson was Gang Green’s most notable pass catcher, Anderson hauled in 48 yards and 1 receiving touchdown. It really was an impressive night overall for Todd Bowles’ team and the Jets are still in the AFC East picture trailing that Patriots by only two games. Tyrod Taylor played well in the loss for the Bills, the Buffalo quarterback threw for 285 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. Taylor was also the Bills leading rusher amassing 35 yards and 1 rushing touchdown on the ground. Deonte Thompson and Zay Jones both caught a touchdown reception for Western New York’s football team but offensively there just wasn’t enough scoring to get the job done. Preston Brown was the Bills best defensive player with 8 tackles in this contest. Jordan Poyer did all he could as well he contributed 7 stops for Buffalo. The Jets get a big upset over a division rival mainly because they put pressure on Tyrod Taylor. Taylor still had a decent game so if New York didn’t get after the passer like they did there’s no way they would have been able to slow down the Bills QB.
