The NFL trade deadline was boring. And that might be the best news ever for Deshaun Watson. Will Fuller won’t be traded to the Green Bay Packers and that means Watson can breathe a sigh of relief. Houston already traded away DeAndre Hopkins and we’ve seen how much of a negative impact that’s had on this team. The Texans are near the bottom of the ranking with a 1-6 record. And imagine how much worse they’d be if they lost their top receiver? Fuller is the last playmaker that Watson has left. So Fuller had no business being on the trade block to begin with. They should also seriously consider re-signing him to a long-term deal. That’s one less piece to the puzzle that the Texans have to figure out. Then this team has to find someone that can play receiver opposite of Fuller. Because that’s what Deshaun Watson needs to be at his best. And Houston owes him that after all of the nonsense they’ve put him through.
