Cleveland Browns Receiver Josh Gordon returned to pro football after a two season absence and showed glimpses of the player that he used to be. With all of the suspensions and off the field struggles behind him Gordon now finds himself in another challenging situation, free agency. While everybody in the National Football League knows Josh Gordon is a big time playmaker there still has to be some concerns about his character. Ultimately that will hurt the 26 year old’s salary when he signs his next contract but make no mistake about it someone will pick up the veteran pass catcher. The upside to Gordon’s talent is too high to pass on but a lot of general managers are still skeptical. Nobody wants to take a risk on the former Baylor wide out and then have that situation blow up in their face. One organization that seems willing to take a chance on confrontational players is the Dallas Cowboys. If you don’t remember Jerry Jones had Greg Hardy on his roster just a couple of season ago. Gordon won’t be as much of a cancer as Hardy is and Dallas could land the receiver for a very small contract. When you also factor in that Josh Gordon is from Texas, it just makes sense that he would sign with the Cowboys who are the pride of his home state. If the Cowboys are out of the running then Baltimore Ravens could come into play. Baltimore was open to signing Colin Kaepernick before his girlfriend killed that offer with some foolish tweets. With Joe Flacco desperate for talent on the outside Gordon would certainly bolster that group for a bargain price. These are two likely options buts then again it’s free agency and the man known as “Flash” really could wind up anywhere. It’s just good to see that Josh Gordon has got his life together and is back on the field doing what he loves.
