If you’ve been a die hard NFL fan for an extended period of time. You’ve noticed a trend that’s happening when it comes to some of the African-American quarterbacks in the league. For example Robert Griffin III was forced to sit out the entire 2017 season even though he was clearly better than almost all of the second and third string QBs that were on a roster that year. Colin Kaepernick is another case and he still can’t find work to this day.
So when we look at what‘s going on with Jameis Winston and Cam Newton. It’s not too surprising because pro football has always been a little shallow when it comes to who they pick for jobs, roles, etc. There’s no doubt that Newton should be signed right now and if he doesn’t get any offers the only reason why is racism. It’s sad that we‘ve fallen this far behind in this day and age. But there’s clearly something going on here and it’s time to address it. If Jameis Winston can’t find a starting job after leading the NFL in passing yards then something doesn’t add up. And keep in mind Winston isn’t even signed at this point. It’s easy to see the writing on the wall and enough is enough. African-Americans have fought in every war and died on the battlefields for America. They also built the NFL into what it is today. So to see this happening is truly shameful.
