Russell Wilson was recently on the Dan Patrick Show and said that he’s the best quarterback in the NFL. And there’s a reason Wilson is campaigning on his own behalf. Wilson has done everything in this sport except win the league’s MVP award. So Wilson is taking matters into his own hands and making sure that he gets the recognition he deserves. Obviously the challenge for Wilson will be finding a way to  beat out Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. It might not even be Wilson’s fault if he’s not able to do that. The Chiefs and Ravens are better teams than the Seahawks are. Usually the MVP goes to the best player on the best team. Meaning if Seattle can’t leapfrog Kansas City and Baltimore it will be tough for Wilson to get his first MVP. But there’s no doubt that he’s been good enough in the past to be worthy of that achievement. For whatever reason the voters just keep overlooking Russell Wilson.
