Could Russell Wilson become the greatest Bears quarterback of all-time?
Author: Jon Kuzma
Everyone is talking about Russell Wilson being traded to the Bears. This deal hasn’t even happened yet. But that’s the way things seem to be heading. The best QB Chicago ever had was Sid Luckman. His resume includes 4 NFL Championships back in the 1940s. Luckman is also in the Hall of Fame. So Wilson would have big shoes to fill if he did get traded. But if we’re factoring in how much the game has evolved. Wilson could be in the conversation for greatest Bears quarterback of all-time if he wins two Super Bowls. Because Luckman played when there was only ten teams in the league. And believe it or not two of them were in Chicago. Wilson has 31 other teams he’ll have to go against. And he’s already got better stats than Luckman. So if Wilson can surpass Jim McMahon by winning two Super Bowls. That’s when people would perceive Wilson to be on the same level as Luckman. The bottom line is this a great position to be in if you’re the Bears. If they land Wilson. It’ll be the best quarterback they’ve had in a very long time.
