It’s been a frustrating year for the San Francisco 49ers. They’ve battled so many injuries that it’s tough to name them all. In fact just a couple of day ago the 49ers lost George Kittle for several weeks with a broken foot. But now San Francisco is also facing a COVID-19 outbreak. Because of that Trent Williams, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel will all be unavailable against the Green Bay Packers. So it’s safe to say “when it rains, it pours” for this team. Kyle Shanahan has done everything he can to keep the 49ers competitive. And he’s done a remarkable job with how much bad luck they’ve encountered. But at some point all of these blows are going to wear down San Francisco. They’re like gut punches in a boxing match. Sooner-or-later they’ll break your spirit. It’s unlikely Shanahan will be able to work his magic against the Packers. Because he doesn’t have enough talent available to overcome Aaron Rodgers and his supporting case. We know that every team is banged up heading into the second half of the season. But the 49ers have been derailed by forces outside of their control.
