When you play against the Seattle Seahawks. You’re in for a long night. Defending Russell Wilson is a tough assignment and the Arizona Cardinals had to learn that the hard way. Cardinals defensive coordinator Vance Joseph was blitzing all night long. But Wilson is able to weave his way through the pressure. And perhaps even more amazing is how Wilson always finds a receiver that is working back towards him. You can’t say Wilson is playing backyard football because that’s an insult to his craft. Besides when you’re playing in the backyard it doesn’t work out the way is does with Wilson and the Seahawks. He’s an incredible athlete, a top notch competitor, and his arm is better than all of the other mobile quarterbacks. Seattle is also a different team with Carlos Hyde in the lineup. They just need someone that can run the ball and give them a chance on the ground. That prevents the Seahawks from becoming one dimensional. Russell Wilson can’t overcome a total loss of the running game. But if he gets a little bit of help he can beat a good team like the Arizona Cardinals. This was a quality win.
