Shaquil Barrett is ready to cash in after Super Bowl run:

Author: Jon Kuzma

It doesn’t sound like Shaquil Barrett will be a Buccaneer for much longer. Barrett told radio host Adam Schein “I feel like it’s time for me to break the bank now.” When discussing Barrett’s upcoming free agency. Of course Barrett played on a franchise tag this past season. And that one year deal doesn’t provide much security for Barrett if he were to get hurt. So you can’t blame Barrett for wanting a long term deal. We all know he’d like to return to Tampa Bay. But if they can’t offer Barrett top dollar. Than he’s going to sign with someone that will. Anyone else that was in Barrett’s shoes would do the same thing. There’s just too much risk involved if he passes on a max contract.
