Should we be amazed by how much the Raiders overcame to get to the playoffs?

Author: Jon Kuzma

You want to talk about pressure. The Raiders had to go through the depths of hell to clinch their playoff spot. They lost Jon Gruden to a scandal, Henry Ruggs got arrested, and there were so many points during this season. That they could’ve checked out. But give this group some credit. Derek Carr deserves some praise for being the moral compass while all of that dysfunction was going on. Clearly his role can’t be understated. And the two guys who really showed up against the Chargers. And helped this team clinch one of the final playoff spots. Were Josh Jacobs and Maxx Crosby. Those two left it all out on the field. Jacobs was a workhorse that kept chipping away at Los Angeles. And Crosby created a lot of problems for Justin Herbert. It was another gritty do whatever it takes to win night for the Raiders. And you have to believe all of those close games they’ve been in will make their steel sharp in the postseason. This team has earned their bid.
