We all know how much better the Steelers have gotten over the past two years. And all of that success can be traced back to their defense. Let’s start with the highest paid defender in the league. Well it’s clear T.J Watt doesn’t rest on his laurels. Because he kept his foot on the gas against the Bills. Relentless pursuit, second efforts, you name it. Watt kept Josh Allen on his heels for most of the day. And what that did is it put the Steelers secondary in a position to succeed. It seemed like Cameron Sutton and James Pierre were getting their hand in there on every pass and breaking up the play. And let’s not forget Josh Allen isn’t dinking and dunking you. These were pass break ups 20 and 30 yards downfield. It was a defensive masterpiece by the Steelers. And a Mike Tomlin special served up on a silver platter. There’s no doubt the Steelers made a statement when they beat the Bills.
