Teddy Bridgewater worked so hard to battle back from a horrific knee injury. Then he took the long road back to being a starting quarterback. Which included stops with the Vikings, Jets, and Saints. Now after an impressive stretch with New Orleans. Bridgewater finds himself in Carolina hoping to be the answer for the Panthers. It seems like he’ll succeed in that quest because he’s already overcame so much to get where he is today. That tells you just how resilient Bridgewater is. There were so many points throughout his journey where he could’ve given up or just been content as a backup. But Bridgewater was determined to write his own history. And he didn’t want to let an injury prevent him from fulfilling his potential. With the Panthers he finally has that chance. He’s got a new three-year $63M contract with Carolina. But we can’t forget that the Arizona Cardinals once signed Kevin Kolb to a five-year deal and he didn’t even make it halfway through that agreement. So we’ve seen guys in this same situation squander their opportunity. You get the feeling that won’t be the case with Bridgewater because he developed thick skin during those tough times. That’s going to help him this upcoming season and it’ll probably be the reason why Bridgewater ends up working out for the Panthers.
