When the Baltimore Ravens let Joe Flacco go. They were taking a risk on Lamar Jackson’s athleticism. Jackson was the most explosive quarterback we’ve seen in college football since Michael Vick and Vince Young. But sometimes that doesn’t translate over to the NFL. Yet when it came time to perform Jackson was able to win the league’s MVP award in his second season. That tells you all you need to know as far as Baltimore goes. This is their window to win another Super Bowl and we don’t know how long it will last? First of all their has to be a talented team around Jackson.
And we also have to acknowledge that his style of play is somewhat dangerous. That’s why the Ravens have to go all in and make sure they put the best team on the field they possibly can. They can’t leave any stone unturned when it comes to trades, free agents, and the draft. Not only that this team needs to keep improving throughout the season. And they should also be aggressive when the trade deadline arrives. Those are the things that good front offices do when they’re this close. Of course none of this would be possible without Jackson. He’s electrifying and he’s also a great leader. This seems to be one of those rare once in a generation players who can uplift a franchise to new heights. Which means this team could be hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy before we know it.
