The Los Angeles Rams are going to try to trade Todd Gurley this off-season in hopes of getting out of his contract. But make no mistake about it that would be the dumbest decision that G.M Les Snead could make. We’re in a running back renaissance and Derrick Henry, Dalvin Cook, Raheem Mostert, and Damien Williams all proved that in the playoffs.
The teams that have a great ball carrier are more successful and the Rams already missed the postseason with Gurley on their roster. So if you take him away from this core then everything is going to completely unravel. Jared Goff needs a rushing attack to work those playaction passes. Because if the defense doesn’t believe that Los Angeles can effectively run the ball. All of those plays go out the window. So there’s a chain reaction of bad events that will happen if Gurley is no longer in the picture. And at the end of the day a move like that doesn’t get the Rams any closer to winning a Super Bowl. You also have to keep in mind that Gurley was starting to look healthy near the end of the season. Which could payout some big returns in the future.
