Mike Zimmer’s defense is the reason that the Minnesota Vikings are a playoff caliber team. So when we found out that Minnesota traded for Yannick Ngakoue this morning. It made the Vikings even tougher and that means they’re on the rise in the NFC. Sure this franchise had to give up a 2021 second round pick and a 2022 fifth round selection. But the thought of pairing up Danielle Hunter and Ngakoue was obviously worth the risk for Vikings G.M Rick Spielman. Those two should create some havoc for opposing quarterbacks. It’s just so hard to game plan for two elite pass rushers like Hunter and Ngakoue. Eventually the pass protection will breakdown and Zimmer will take advantage of those opportunities.
