The Las Vegas Raiders were able to knock off the Carolina Panthers 34-30 in week one. And second year running back Josh Jacobs was the main reason why. Jacobs scored 3 rushing touchdowns and continues to dominate. You have to remember Jacobs was snubbed last year when the NFL gave Kyler Murray the Rookie of the Year award over him. Now it appears that Jacobs is out to prove to the world that he was overlooked. Watching him break tackles is like seeing a pinball bounce off all of the bumpers. And this isn’t a quarterback that gets to share touchdowns with a wide receiver on passing plays. Jacobs had to get his 3 touchdowns the hard way. Running backs have to run through the defense to get theirs. Jacobs has shown time and time against that he’s up to the task. So we’re witnessing this guy establish himself as one of the top players at his position. Someday we could mention his name in the same sentence as Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, and the rest of the all-time greats.
