Ben Roethlisberger, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and James Conner all missed some action. But somehow the Pittsburgh Steelers still almost made the playoffs. Heading into the off-season that has to be a huge source of optimism for this football team because they’ll be substantially better when they get everyone back.
Roethlisberger is the guy they’re really missing. He’s got the potential to put up 30 points for this offense. The Steelers didn’t do that one time during the 2019 season and when you combine that offensive firepower with what they’re doing on defense. That’s when you’ll see this team get back in the hunt. You know Mike Tomlin is in high spirits right now and that’s due to the fact that the Steelers are in a great position. Expectations weren’t very high after Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell left. But somehow KevinColbert was able to turn the page on that era much sooner than most people thought they could. With the right additions this off-season we could see the Steelers take the next step. That’s what happens when you have the kind of stability that the Rooney family provides. They also have the right personnel to go with it.
