It’s been anything but smooth sailing for the San Francisco 49ers. They’ve been dealing with a number of different injuries. However when Nick Bosa tore his ACL that was the deathblow for this team. San Francisco can’t do the things they did last year without Bosa. There won’t be another Super Bowl appearance and it’s very possible that the 49ers will miss the playoffs as well. It almost feels like Kyle Shanahan could replace Jimmy Garoppolo before he finds someone that can replicate what Bosa can do. Most of the 49ers offensive success was because of their running game anyway. But with Bosa out of the lineup and Deforest Buckner no longer around. San Francisco doesn’t have the firepower they once had on the defensive side of the ball. Injuries to George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, and Richard Sherman are the reason this team was in bad shape. Yet the wheels didn’t officially fall off until Bosa tore up his knee.
