Rob Gronkowski just won the WWE’s 24/7 Championship at Wrestlemania. But Gronkowski could have even bigger plans in his future. Yesterday a rumor went viral that Gronkowski would like to join Tom Brady in Tampa Bay. This isn’t too shocking because there were a lot of reports that the 5x Pro Bowler was fed up with the “Patriot way” and that’s why he chose to retire. The Buccaneers can offer Gronk a fresh start and who better to reunite with than his old friend Tom Brady? Both of those guys would turn Tampa Bay around. It’s the perfect second act for them after the initial 8-years they’ve spent together in Foxborough. However there is one hurdle for Gronkowski and that’s because the Patriots still own his rights. Which means Bill Belichick will have to trade him to the Buccaneers if a deal were to happen. So Belichick could be spiteful and refuse to trade or release Gronk. Or perhaps he’ll go the opposite route and choose to get something in return for a player who isn’t currently active. If Tampa Bay sweetens the pot by offering O.J Howard it would certainly help. At that point it becomes worth New England’s time to listen to offers.
