Do we need to acknowledge how good Trevor Lawrence is mentally?

Author: Jon Kuzma

We always talk about having a feel for the game. We always talk about being able to process the game. Which one of those two quarterbacks does a better job of that? It’s Trevor Lawrence. The thing about Lawrence is he’s willing to put his ego aside and play within the system. He trusts his coaches to make good decisions. He trusts his teammates to make plays. Then when it’s crunch time Lawrence can flip the switch. Which allows him to play hero ball. To be able to do both of those things really well is a sign of maturity. Because Lawrence doesn’t overestimate himself all of the time. He’s cerebral enough to pick and choose his spots. Then when the time is right. Lawrence knows he’s good enough to seize the moment.
