The Buffalo Bills were waiting for the right time to trade Tyrod Taylor and it was the perfect moment today after Cleveland landed Jarvis Landry. With the Browns solidifying their receivers they needed a QB who could come in and sure up the position a bit. Buffalo capitalized on that need and shipped out their former starter for a 3rd round draft pick. That’s a pretty good deal for the Bills because they got maximum value for a player they were essentially done with. Now Sean McDermott and the Bills front office will have 6 draft picks in the first three rounds (2 firsts, 2 seconds, 2 thirds). Ultimately that’s going to go a long way in improving this roster and Buffalo could go back to the playoffs again next season. There’s also been rumors that this team (Buffalo) has been pursuing a trade for Eagles back up Quarterback Nick Foles. He would be a great fit for this organization and would give them a much needed upgrade under center. If they can’t swing that Foles trade though the Bills have to consider selecting Lamar Jackson with one of their two 1st round picks. If this team goes Jackson at 21 and then Will Hernandez (guard) out of UTEP with the 25th pick. That would help this offense put more points on the board on Sundays and remember the Bills only chalked up 3 points in the playoff game against the Jags. Clearly that lack of scoring output is the weakness of this ball club and by getting a playmaker at quarterback and a rock solid offensive lineman the Bills can become much more potent offensively. These moves would also leave those next four draft picks to address the defense. Between the draft and free agency Buffalo could be looking pretty good by next season. Especially if they play their cards right.
