Von Miller has been extremely prolific since entering the NFL back in 2011 and Miller has compiled an impressive 73.5 sacks during that time. When you average over 12 sacks a year in professional football that’s going to earn you an outstanding reputation and now Von Miller is finally receiving the recognition that he deserves. At 28 years old Miller still has enough gas left in the tank to dominate for the next five years and Miller’s main goal has to be helping the Broncos get back to playoff contention. After winning the Super Bowl in 2016, Denver failed to reach the postseason a year ago. Now Miller has to elevate his play to propel the Denver Broncos back to elite status. Miller actually led the league in sacks for most of the year last season but he eventually lost the sack race to Vic Beasley of the Atlanta Falcons. You know that doesn’t sit well with Von Miller and that should be extra motivation for the NFL’s second best player. Miller trained extremely hard after the Broncos won the Super Bowl to keep his output on the field high. Ultimately Miller fell short of his expectations to be the best pass rusher in the league and you know this guy is training night and day to make sure that doesn’t happen again. Denver will benefit greatly from Miller’s extra motivation and the players in the Broncos locker room should respond well to new Head Coach Vance Joseph. Joseph is known as a defensive mastermind so that coaching style should blend well with Von Miller’s defensive capabilities. Look for those guys to dial some outstanding defensive plays and expect Miller to blitz early and often in 2017. Denver’s best chance at winning games is when Von Miller is putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
