There’s a market for Sam Darnold and it’s heating up. Yesterday it was the Colts and 49ers that were the two front-runners for Darnold. Today Adam Schefter reported that Washington and Carolina have also reached out to the Jets about Darnold. So there’s plenty of teams that are monitoring the situation. Which tells you there’s more than a handful of executives who belief Darnold can still be a viable option. For Washington this would be their missing piece at quarterback. That might be a good fit for Darnold because they’re already a playoff team. Whereas Carolina has much further to go before their competitive. However their thinking is it all starts with the quarterback position. And the Panthers believe Darnold would be an upgrade over Teddy Bridgewater.
